How “Travel Coaching” came to be

I remember the exact moment I learned about utilizing points and miles, in a weird way like the moment someone sees their soul mate lol. We were camping and I was listening to a podcast. I started to tell my husband about it and I was met with a lot of reluctance and skepticism. I absolutely understood where he was coming from…it’s too good to be true… we’ll go in debt…we’ll ruin our credit. I had the same concerns (although much quieter than his) but I wanted to give it a go. I mean, what’s the worst that can happen? I get a new credit card?

If any of you know me, you know I don’t tread softly into things. So I jumped right in headfirst! I dove headfirst into hours and hours of blogs and podcasts and social media. Within 6 months, we had each had a southwest companion pass and over three free trips booked. I quickly became SO excited! There was no place in this world where we couldn’t go! I wanted to scream from the rooftops about points and miles! I wanted everyone to experience this beautiful life we had that I never knew possible.

And that’s what I did, I told everyone I knew! I told them about all the places we have been, all the trips we had scheduled and that we were doing ALL of this for nearly nothing!! And I was EXCITED, REALLY EXCITED! When I took a moment to come out of my overly excited state, I saw the person I was talking to staring at me like I was crazy!! Their eyes were glazed over, and I had a feeling they were wondering what kind of Ponzi scheme this was (which is understandable). I would come to my senses and give them some resources to look up on their own and part ways. But it always bothered me. People would talk to me about how they would love to see the world but couldn’t afford it or didn’t have time to embrace the learning curve of points and miles. It would silently kill me every time because I knew what was possible and I truly believe everyone can figure this out.

As a coach, I would hear my clients speak about the importance of traveling and how they wanted to step into the life they’ve only dreamed about but as a coach, I would bite my tongue because that space is for them.

At some point, I realized what a unique set of abilities I have to offer people and maybe this was my NICHE.

I’ve been on adult education for over 4 years, I know how much adults can learn at one time (spoiler alert it’s small) and how overwhelm can set it and really derail learners. As a coach, I know that every unique person has their own path with their unique goals. I learned as a coach to let the client be the leader and tell me what they want from this life and I truly believe everyone is capable they are of getting this and traveling for nearly free for their whole lives. As a points and miles expert, I know what’s possible and it’s anything you can dream up. So, I decided to incorporate all of my years of different experience into one. To help others reach their travel goals that they never dreamed possible! and I’m SO UNBELIEABLY excited to start this journey!
