Earning Globalist Status

To earn Globalist status, you must have 60 qualifying nights. You can earn qualifying nights in 3 ways.

  1. Stays-Actually staying at Hyatt hotels count towards qualifying nights. These include points bookings, free night certificates and cash stays.

  2. Credit Cards- Hyatt has two credit cards issued through Chase. A personal card and a business card,

The World of Hyatt Credit Card

    • As the primary cardmember, you’ll receive 5 World of Hyatt Tier-Qualifying Night credits in your World of Hyatt account within 8 weeks of your World of Hyatt Credit Card account open date. Every calendar year after your first year, you will receive 5 Tier-Qualifying Night credits within 8 weeks of January 1

    • Receive 2 qualifying nights for every $5,000 you spend on the card

The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card

    • Receive 5 qualifying nights for every $10,000 you spend on the card

My Strategy to Earn Hyatt Globalist Status

Here’s what I do to earn Globalist status without staying 60 nights:

    • Stay at Hyatt hotels as often as possible while traveling

    • Keep the Hyatt personal card each year to earn the 5 qualifying nights

    • Make up the difference needed with spend on the Hyatt business card
